PRESSURE DROP: The Latest Film from Teton Gravity Research

Presented by Teton Gravity Research (TGR)
Location: The Music Hall, Portsmouth NH

The Story

Pressure Drop is the newest chapter in TGR’s 30-year journey of chasing snow, summits, and the spirit of adventure. Born from a dream, funded by long days on commercial fishing boats in Alaska, and fueled by a relentless drive to live life on the edge, TGR has spent three decades redefining what is possible in the mountains.

This new film blends the past, present, and future of freeride progression. It follows some of the world’s best skiers and snowboarders as they push limits on Alaskan spines, stacked pillow lines, massive cliffs, and deep powder across the globe. From Norway to British Columbia, California to Alaska, and back home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, every line tells a story of courage, creativity, and flow.

Each descent is more than a run. It is a brushstroke in the art of mountain life. Pressure Drop captures that fleeting moment between calm and chaos, when breath slows, vision sharpens, and gravity takes control.

The Legacy

For thirty years, Teton Gravity Research has been more than a film company. It has been a movement. Their films have inspired skiers, riders, and dreamers to find their own lines, embrace risk, and respect the wild. Pressure Drop honors that legacy while passing the torch to a new generation of riders who carry the same fire that started it all.

Why It Hits Different

Unlike the average ski film, Pressure Drop is not just about the biggest lines or deepest snow. It is about what drives people to dedicate their lives to the mountains. The film is nostalgic, raw, and deeply human. It brings together familiar faces, powerful stories, and stunning footage that will make you want to grab your gear and chase winter.
